Misc: A note about comments

I’ve noticed a few people in the past couple of days have tried to leave comments but they didn’t register. A feature (yes, feature) of Textpattern is the forced preview of comments. You must preview it before it submits. Since upgrading to TXP 4.04 that’s been a bit screwy. Comments used to be placed at the top of the page when previewed, but now they go on the bottom and anyone submitting them might think they’ve been accepted. I put in a marker that at least takes you to the beginning of the comments, but you still might not see yours if the thread is longish. I’m working on making this better. I even wrote a comment this weekend that didn’t submit because of this exact thing. It’s tricky.

This has gotten me a few times.

Funny, my brief dissertation on Sparks posted just fine…coincidence? I think not! Ladies and Gentelman, Hear Ye Hear Ye, MrJerz.org is ProSparks! I am making shirst.

It’s gotten me more times than I care to admit — on my own damn site. MrJerz.org is most certainly not pro-Sparks. You’re making a “shirst?” Is that supposed to be thirst or shirt? Or “taking a ****?” Leave it to a Sparkie to talk about that in my comments.

May I remind you of the very small list of people that paid money for a CobbGobbler shiRT??? My name is on that list, and not only did I buy one, I wore it to many an Artown function for optimum viewing pleasure by the public…step off.

By all mean, then, make some shirts. I’ll even pose for a thumbs-up picture to use. MrJerz.org is PRO-SPARKS! Better get on it, I might try to produce them myself.
