Cooleyville

Another look at our family’s property in California. This was shot and edited on my iPhone, using iMovie (which at this point is the single coolest thing I’ve ever done with a mobile phone).



One thing I learned—you must have very sufficient audio on your movie clips to override the audio from the music. In a lot of these clips, the sound of me talking was drowned out by the music.

I’m loving iMovie as well. Amazing power in a phone isn’t it?
Hopefully a future update will give us the ability to blend audio better but it’s hard to complain. It is just a phone right…..

Yeah, you’re right—it’s just a phone. A lot of what I think I’ll use it for isn’t going to require the audio—or it will only be the music so it’s not a huge deal. Plus, and I learned this a long time ago in editing, music with voice is always trouble when putting it under actual voice track. So I’ll avoid that and keep my voice strong when recording.
