The Arlington Fire

The fire that damaged a mansion on Arlington Street on November 24 damaged more than a house. It was a place owned by the Reno Sparks Gospel Mission and used as a home for women the Mission took in. It also damaged one family’s belongings as they worked to renovate the place. I took a look around the house today with my videocamera.

Thanks for letting us see what the house actually looked like. It’s interesting that it ended up having about the same lifespan as a human: 76 years.

I hadn’t thought of that on the lifespan. I’m just glad I got out and did it. I really wanted to get inside. At least along the ground I think it would have been safe, but I wasn’t about to cross those barriers. Thanks for checking it out.

Good one, Ryan. I admired that house every time I drove past it. I was happy to hear somebody was rennovating it … It will be interesting to see where the arson investigation goes. In the days after the fire, there were investigators crawling all over it.

Hey Ryan. I’m glad one of us interactive grads got out and did something good. I live right there, and have looked at that place on my drive around for the last 2 years. I was so sad to see it burn, especially since it didn’t sell for a while. Good narration, I liked your movie. You Rock, Rock!
