Misc: There's more to life in Reno, Nevada

Here’s another crack at promoting Reno to hopeless Bay Area drones.

I made this using a Canon 30D, set to high quality small jpgs and high speed burst. On this setting, you can shoot five frames a second for up to 110 shots. That’s about 22 seconds straight of 5 fps shooting, so you can get a great sequence out of it. I edited it in Final Cut Express, set to HDV 1080i 60 so the quality on the original is slick. Watch in in high quality on YouTube and it’ll look much better, to the point that you might be able to tell these are photos instead of strobed video.

By the way, it’s still not as cool as Ed’s video, but it does have its own doofus acting out the role we laugh at.

Jerz, how is a fat guy in a boat going to get a hipster to charge up his/her Prius, ditch the all black wardrobe (charcoal in the summer), and head over the hill to the REN-town, land of Sports Bars? I’d like to see some Tent City footage included in these, please.

I still admire your effort to meet a deadline. I haven’t done much for reno lately. Let me get that on my list of to-dos.

Hey happy birthday dodger fan.

Great job indeed. Using a camera like that to create a video is definitely an interesting idea. I’ll give you props for that.

Deadline Schmeadline.

I’d like to point out that OUR video hat more views and comments than Ed’s Video. And since I’m an actor in TWO of the videos someone needs to be stroking MY ego a little bit. For craps sake! I’m having to print extra copies of my head shot to take to the party in SF next week!
