Fired Nevada Soccer coach Terri Patraw got her case tossed out of court by a judge. Based on what I know about this case, and Terri Patraw, this is justice finally being served. I don’t know if this means all of her possible lawsuits are now off the table, but I’m positive it’s not going to be the last we hear from her. The University is going after their attorney’s fees, which could end up around $500,000. I hope they get them.

I wrote last week about the uphill battle that new UNR soccer coach Jaime Frias might face. In that post, I linked to a blog post written by the fired soccer coach in which she claimed the new coach had already violated NCAA rules. Lo and behold, she removed that post. I had a feeling that would happen. I make it a point to back up what I do now. So, as some of you would probably expect, I took a screenshot. I have the whole thing, but I’d hate to be breaking any laws, you know. Some people will twist anything to make sure they don’t have to be accountable for their disgusting actions.
Apparently, life goes on for Nevada soccer. And the title of this post is probably unfair in its intent. The Sports section is about the only place this could have been brought up.
The RGJ ran a profile on Saturday of the new soccer coach, and emphasized how he makes the players compete against each other in drills.
It’s really a standard preview piece of the team who has a new coach after a year that can only be described as turmoil. That turmoil resulted when, according to documents from her whistle blower hearing, the former coach resigned within a week of the season’s start, only to rescind that resignation and be fired a couple days later.
