Link: How a Wired article comes to be

Awesome. I love this aspect of the web. I think that reporters who have blogs should be using them to show us how stories come about instead of writing slightly different stories than they plan on printing in the paper later on. This is a perfect use of the internet in journalism. I’d hope that you could avoid any editing, such as the author’s response that they held off so as to not screw up any future interviewing complications, but that’s as much on the subject as it is the reporter.
